Details on the Basketball Intelligence contest:

This contest was inspired because we are constantly asked about how we select the stories that we include in the daily BI email.

So, the prizewinner will get to join me in one day’s story selection process, on a mutually convenient day We will look at the stories that are being considered for inclusion & I will explain the rationale for determining whether each one “makes the cut”. To an extent, it could be a consultative process, since the prize winner will have an opportunity to give input as well.

If you are interested in entering the contest, please submit, by 8/15, a short (try to keep it to 125 words) statement stating why you would like to be chosen. I will the select the winner by applying the same 4-I test (informative, intelligent, insightful, interesting) that is employed to select the daily BI email stories.
